Our Conveyancing Services
For most people, the purchase of a home or investment property is among the most significant financial transactions of a lifetime. Conveyancing in Queensland is considered to be a minefield. There are many important considerations to be aware of, such as transfer duty, registration fees and property searches. To add to the complexity, unlike in other states, Queensland conveyancing is conducted on the basis that time is of the essence. As a result, there may be serious consequences where buyers or sellers fail to comply with their obligations which arise at various stages throughout the conveyance. These may include termination of the contract, forfeiting a deposit or even claims for damages. For this reason, it is essential that parties to a conveyance are guided through this minefield by a firm which lives and breathes conveyancing and its related issues, and understands the inquiries, obligations and consequences involved.
In a marketplace dominated by stripped-down operations who try to achieve the lowest (misleading) ‘fixed’ price by offering only the bare minimum service, Forge Legal stands out from the rest. Drawing upon our quarter-century of experience in Brisbane conveyancing, it is our policy to have each conveyance conducted by, or under the supervision of, solicitors experienced in the vast amount of issues which may potentially arise. With a vast network behind us, we can conduct a wide range of searches on your behalf to ensure that you are as informed as you can possibly be. This is why we have been able to provide our clients with the peace of mind conveyancing from the initial signing of the contract through to settlement.
As part of our commitment to guiding you through the conveyancing process, we can provide separate pre-contractual advice with respect to un-signed contracts of sale or even organise a meeting whereby we can draw up a bespoke contract which suits your needs and protects your interests.
Our Conveyancing Fees
Our conveyancing offering provides you with a high level of service, coupled with the simplicity and the peace of mind that comes with 25 years of experience with Queensland conveyancing — whilst consistently delivering results at a competitive price.
Conveyancing in Queensland is a complicated process with several various searches and unforeseen eventualities which may occur during the process. As such, conveyancing fees can fluctuate wildly between different service providers, and each different fee may entail a vastly different range of inclusions catering for a multitude of different circumstances. For simplicity, Forge Legal charges a fixed professional fee for each type of conveyance. In addition to this fixed fee, you only need to pay for the searches and outlays you ask us to incur on your behalf. The only variable to Forge’s fixed fee conveyancing is what you pay in terms of outlays, which largely depends upon which searches you instruct us to order.
